US STATE HIGHPOINTS

Being a little easier and far cheaper than the continental highpoints this long term fifty state adventure will take us to all corners of the United States. At the time of writing the two of us have knocked off nine highpoints, already showing us roads less traveled and parts of the country we otherwise would never have visited. The panhandle of Florida has the lowest highpoint, Britton Hill, at a lowly 345ft, and the highest point being Denali in Alaska at 20,320ft. Fortunately back in 2003 I reached the summit of Denali as Andrea has no desire to attempt this challenging mountain. I guess she will have to be happy with forty nine!
